The art that inspired the name, "The Girl Mirage" is an ongoing series working with and exploring new methods of digital art techniques through the human form. Forever interested in the face as a form of expression and a means of communication, these pieces aim to obscure reality - the truth - and present you with a mirage of the form with which we are so familiar.
Techniques have included watercolor textures, 'high polygon' portraiture, and other personal methods discovered through the act of creation.
A girl is trapped in a box - or, is she? This 16mm and HDV experimental short follows Luna as she listlessly travels through different environments to escape 'the box' in which she is trapped. However, this dreamlike journey takes the girl in a circle, one door simply leading to another. Does she truly find her way out?
This a silent film features original music by both the filmmaker and compositions by John Cage. All double-exposure for this film was done in-camera.

'My Big Bad Wolf' is a 30-minute, 16mm film and HDV psychological thriller based on some familiar fairytales...
The film focuses on a couple living in the woods, a nondescript place out of time. The couple's relationship is deteriorating, as they have confused love with possession. The two bate each other, constantly playing mind games. But are these mind tricks really games? The girl starts seeing herself - a 'double' of herself - and wonders if it is all a dream, or if her reflection has escaped into reality. Her own mind deteriorates and she is finally confronted with - herself.
What does the esching of the sky look like at a speed of 1%? In an attempt to match the mood of the piece to its visuals, this video plays with time and surround sound to engulf the viewer in an all-encompassing experience.
Ideally, this piece is meant to be viewed as a looping projection covering every wall - and ceiling - of a transient gallery space.

Each month displays the work of a collaborating artist, featuring Coorain as the subject. This calendar has since landed in the Boston Athenæum's permanent artist book collection.
