A few weeks ago I went out to Western Mass and had a day-long photoshoot with Lucid Grafx Photography!
We shot in a few different locations, each time in a new outfit. This first outfit, the gingham halter dress, is something I made back in my old sewing class maybe 7 years ago! Check out these snaps, taken with natural light in the great, soon-to-be-autumn air out in Western Massachusetts.
I don't really play accordion, but I've always wanted to - it was just a cool prop the photographer owned.
Check out those shots of me in mid-air! There are a few outtakes in which my body parts are so stiff and extreme, it reminds me of the way a sim (The Sims computer game) looks when they tweak-out, and the game corrupts. Always fun.
I'm a big fan of Photoshop (which I made pretty clear to the photographer) and my new color program 'Magic Bullet Looks' by Red Giant - it's an amazing plug-in program! The above image at left is the original, and the right is my color edit with a filter I call 'Soft Goth Queen.'
I thought I looked kinda cute with my hair up, so I asked him to take this last photo ;)
The one thing that all professional photographers should do is show 1-2 snaps to their model at the least - this can give a model a sense of how the lighting is effecting her features, where shadows fall, and how to better play to the camera. I see pros with teams and monitors doing this all of the time, and I think it's a wise idea.
I'll soon be posting more photos from this shoot with Lucid Grafx, so check back!
