I just came back from a trip to the Berkshires with my mom, a celebration of my birthday! It's a big one - quarter of a century. 'The Berkshires' is an area around Western, MA and Connecticut - picturesque, huh? We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Lenox, MA - and when they found out it was my birthday, they gave me a basket of little gifts!
I have about 1,000 photos to sort through, not to mention several rolls of 35mm film to develop! While I look through these photos of the beautiful, New England autumn, I wanted to share some favorite shots that already caught my eye...

My mom took some photos of me taking photos of nature - with my Minolta SRT-101 film camera! I thought this was such a subtle and lovely shot, I wanted to share. Not to mention, my hair was doing some cool thing in the front, haha.
This is sort of a misleading image; we were in Lenox for 4 days, and it was either rainy or overcast 3 of those days. This was a rare break in the clouds, that's for sure!

Just a lovely red maple along the sidewalk. The light hit the tree beautifully, and I caught some photos before it faded away...

As with most trips, it revolves around food. In fact, I call these 'eating trips,' because we plan our schedule and sightseeing around the next meal! The food here was completely amazing, and I had French onion soup at nearly every restaurant!

And then, of course, there's dessert, provided by the endless supply of bakeries and cafes all over the place. Wow, did we eat...and, I've been practicing my food photography, so it's a win-win! ;)
I'll share more photos from the Berkshires trip soon, along with the developed film!
