I'm the youngest Library Trustee in Medfield's 365-year history!
Over the last two months I've been working with library, helping out where I can! Now that I'm a new Library Trustee, I've learning more about all the resources the library has to offer, too. The Medfield Public Library is doing something that, in this day and age, all libraries should be doing: integrating technology. In fact, I even wrote an article about this ever-expanding technology the MPL has to offer.
"Similar to how print newspapers have expanded to online news platforms, the library understands that integrating new technology will only make it a greater source of education.
However, the library can offer more than news and theory; it’s a physical hub at which to explore new ideas, technology, and learn from knowledgeable librarians and staff through a hands-on approach...the Medfield Public Library now offers Lynda.com to cardholders."
Yes, my awesome library offers Lynda.com to cardholders, and you can use it from home! I'm a huge fan of Lynda, so this is incredibly exciting!
In continued support of the library, I recently photographed the Friends of the Library (FOL) Annual Book Sale! Check out some of the photos below, and learn more about the FOL online.
My family's been part of FOL since...forever, haha. And - exciting - I also got one of those awesome mugs adorned with the new Medfield FOL logo! (I'm a big tea-er, so mugs are always appreciated. ;)
More to come with Medfield Public Library, like a maker space and more! :)
