Last Friday I went to Relay for Life in Medway, MA and raffled a canvas print of my work for charity! One lucky raffle winner received a 20x30" canvas print of my photograph 'Italy as Cuba,' with a wire backing and-all! I also had a booth area setup with my work for sale, and spread my photographic art prints across two tables.
My friend Joe joined me, and we both took tons of photos! We snapped a few hundred photos, but half of them were just photos of us playing with the light of the setting sun, trying to get a good shot of me, haha. Little did I know I was going to match the event's colors!
A group of girls came over to my table, and one girl in particular got incredibly excited about my photography. Victoria, a budding photographer in her own right, excitedly dragged her mom over to show her my work, too! I gave her an art print, and she wanted to take a photo with me! I had my celebrity moment, haha ;)
Ahh, and look at those smiles! I'm pretty sure they feel the same way about my art prints as I do about this photo; nothing makes me happier than to see I've made others happy. Thanks to Joe for capturing this moment! :D
I met some great people, including the amazing photographer Peter J. Willis! I was really happy to be there and share the experience with others. I wish Event Coordinator Louise Fonteyne good luck on her final event of the month!
You can see more photos of the event, participants and, might I add, beautiful sunset photography on my blog post 'Relay for Life' shared earlier this week!
