We had a hilariously fun time on the set of 'Dump Trump' with my cast and crew - in the bathroom of an office building from 4pm to midnight. Yes, we were exhausted - but on the plus side, more came out than just dump. Check out these behind-the-scenes photos of the small cast and crew who came together for a cause.
Don't I look like the biggest creep staring at you like that? ;)
But wait - is that a green screen? Why yes my friend, it is, and this should tell you that we captured some green screen footage, as well. (I mean, what didn't we film? This was too good to pass up.) Thanks to the creative minds of our Director of Photography Dan Perez de la Garza, and our Grip & Electric Andrew Frechette, we (they) improvised with so many hilarious ideas! I'm still thinking about some off-shoot videos, and perhaps a future birthday video. I mean hey, we have the footage...
As you can see, both Dan and Andrew were hard at work turning this angular bathroom into our movie set. When watching the final video, you'd never know the confines in which we had to work! These guys are masters of the set - they even managed to setup a monitor for me which was angled around the corner. Crazy! (Oh, and they successfully removed and replaced an entire stall panel to create more space. No big.)
But what did I do, you ask? I cleaned - and cleaned, and cleaned. I mean, if Helena could go barefoot and also had to "scrub" a toilet, it had to be a pretty sanitary environment. Yes, I lead a glamorous life.
The office space has no bathroom cleaning service, and so I suspect I'm the first to clean the bathroom in...years. Luckily, I like to clean, and felt a sense of great accomplishment, haha.
I'm also learning more about marketing, and discovered that releasing a video on a major national holiday means many people are not online. Speaking recently with a marketing manager, I was told that agencies don't typically releases new material on national holidays due to this non-internet issue. Surprise! Now I know, and now you can share this heartwarming 'Dump Trump' special with family and friends. Just make sure they have a sense of humor; some may take this a little too seriously, a little too far...
