For my multimedia series "Endeavor" focused on university student entrepreneurs, I ran around for a few weeks interviewing these students on campus. I had met Tay Lotte, both senior at Syracuse University and Co-founder of Ravle, Inc., in the winter, when she came by my Tuesday night class to give us baked goods — just one of the ways in which she finds balance. Tay was one of my first interviews; her work is visual, and she shares her personal journey about balance and success.
“That journey,” Tay says, “shifting towards, you know, how to figure out how launch a business, how to find customers, how to find that product-market fit — all of these crazy challenges that come about with designing a business, and the process of innovation itself, I was absolutely enthralled by.”
Ravle is a company helping travel brands create and measure content to drive sales while also growing an online community of travel filmmakers. Tay’s childhood interests and travel videos with her family turned into the key component of the company content. Now a senior graduating this spring with her Bachelor of Professional Studies in Creative Leadership, Tay truly managed to balance her school work while running a company.
